The Middlesbrough Empire

Much like a cream egg, The Empire is as good on the outside as it is on the inside. This three-floored art deco Victorian Theatre has been a unique clubbing venue for years now and its easy to see why. Fridays means Sumo, a showcase of the best rock, mosh and indie around which also features regular live acts. On Saturday nights it’s Metropolis, offering five rooms from indie, electro, pop and RnB. To top it off they offer great gigs from some of the world’s top bands on tour. The admission price varies depending on who’s playing but you always get your dollar’s worth.
