Originally from Cumbria, but currently studying and living in Newcastle, Georgina Gale is a singer/songwriter worth getting excited about.

Georgina Gale hasn’t released much as of yet – indeed her debut EP isn’t due for release until early summer (on Sapien Records) – but everything we have heard from her has caused the hairs on the back of our necks to jump up and shout “Woo, woo, woo!” She pens Taylor Swift like melodies (in Swift’s ‘Folklore’/’Evermore’ phase) that touch on pop, folk and Americana, and these melodies are further lifted by the emotional and fresh lyrical content. Other industry types have certainly spotted her undoubted promise as her EP is being mastered by Andy Baldwin (who has worked with everyone from Blur to Stormzy to The Who). It also features sessions with Field Music’s David Brewis. Gale made her live band debut with a stripped-back headline set at the Mosaic Tap in Newcastle in March, but make sure you check out her website below as future dates are undoubtedly on the horizon.
