After a successful debut album in 2022, Tate McRae’s success has been exponential, with the breakout star dominating screens on TikTok and recently scoring another hit with ‘greedy’. Her sound has definitely taken a step towards the mainstream as of late, so I was intrigued to see how she’d develop this through a full album – and was pleasantly surprised. ‘THINK LATER’ delivers hit after hit, mixing pop and RnB to create a nostalgic, noughties sound, but it’s uniquely repackaged for the modern listener. It’s best at its most upbeat, though McRae has a real talent for injecting emotion into her songs via her vocals. LT
