Based in Newcastle, this extravagantly gifted musician straddles genres with ease and ropes in all manner of influences to inform his idiosyncratic sound. His second full-length album is a skew-whiff delight that takes in quirky-bedroom pop that teeters into anything-goes playfulness (‘All I Am (Is A Great Illusion’); twinkly art-jazz-pop (‘Speculation’); and effervescent indie-folk that both delights and beguiles (‘Gobstoppers for Breakfast’). Sarra has created a whole world of wonder here and it’s a world well worth getting lost in. GM
