Canada’s Christina Martin is seven albums deep into her career and she just keeps getting better and better. Her latest release straddles the worlds of radio-friendly pop, country and Americana-dunked folk, but she also gives her songs a real sense of drama, with big-sky choruses very much to the fore. The title of the album refers to the emotional churn we all go through – reflections on both joy and pain – with Martin really laying herself bare. Super stuff. GM
