Anna St Louis’ third album is simultaneously contemplative and easy going, with a soft, acoustic sound that creates a chilled out vibe, leaving space for her vocals and lyrics to shine through. Though a folky, country feel radiates throughout, ‘In The Air’ is difficult to box into a particular genre - a testament to St. Louis’ familiar yet unique style of songwriting, which captures a colourful range of emotions, moments and thoughts. Though perhaps lacking any stand-out singles, ‘In The Air’ functions better as a collective, creating an immersive atmosphere of warmth that pairs particularly well with these sunny days we’ve been having.
