International sensation, Post Malone, has doubled his power by assembling a sort of Avengers team of huge collaborators on this fourth album: Doja Cat, The Weeknd and The Kid LAROI all lend their talents. Fans of the artist’s trademark quivering vocals and moody take on hip hop will be satisfied, but in the three years it took to release a new studio album, Posty has done little to reinvent his sound. In terms of lyrics, his boasting of wealth jars with his deeper, more thoughtful lines, as if he’s sprinkling in a little bit of what hip hop is ‘supposed to be’ and shying away from his own vision of it.
