The inaugural exhibition in the Bishop Trevor Gallery, a space which has never previously been open to the public. This exhibition explores the inception and development of the British landscape tradition in the second half of the 18th century, when landscape painting emerged as a genre in its own right. It includes masterpieces by Gainsborough, Lorrain and Stubbs.
