Backing Britain

The Department of Britishness have hired the very funny Anuvab Pal to sell the idea of Britishness, what makes it so great, to Indians. See it unfurl (or implode) at The Stand in Newcastle.

Of course, the idea of selling Britishness to India has been done before (think: empire) with, ahem, decidedly mixed results. But post-Brexit, the British government are trying the rouse once again and have roped in Anuvab Pal to help oil the wheels. He will explain in unflinching detail why he himself has embraced Britishness, and how his fellow Indians should follow suit. Pal has been much in demand on shows like ‘QI’ and ‘Big Asian Stand-Up’, but it’s his stand-up shows that really let him spread his wings, with the likes of the New York Times naming him as “India’s most intelligent comedian.” Don’t miss!
