Let the bodies pile high…

The hilarious whodunit ‘Cluedo’ was an absolute smash hit and ‘Cluedo 2’ is following in its illustrious footsteps. See it at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle this May and June.

First up: you don’t need to have seen ‘Cluedo’ to enjoy ‘Cluedo 2’. This new production – which stars Jason Durr (Heartbeat, Casualty) and Ellie Leach (Coronation Street, Strictly) – is a brand new tale where secrets unfurl as the corpses keep on a-coming. It’s the swinging 60s and rock & roll legend Rick Black has not had a hit in years. He’s desperate to revive his career, and is prepared to do anything to get it back. Excited to reveal his long-awaited comeback album he has assembled his supermodel wife, the Honourable Emerald Peacock; manager Colonel Eugene Mustard; long-time roadie “Professor” Alex Plum; trusted interior designer Annabel Scarlett; and housekeeper Mrs White. The one person missing is former songwriting partner “The Reverend” Hal Green… ‘Cluedo 2’ is a rollicking spoof of the highest order, but it will also keep you guessing right up to the very end.

Cluedo 2: The Next Chapter, 28 May-1 June, Theatre Royal, Newcastle, 7.30pm (mats Thurs 2pm & Sat 2.30pm), from £15, theatreroyal.co.uk
