Local outfit TGWTRH started out as a duo but now number Mick Porter on bass and The Go-Betweens’ Lindy Morrison on drums among their ranks. Seems like a match made in heaven because their latest album is a shimmering thing of joy. It’s a release shot through with a glorious old school indie vibe; so much so that tracks such as ‘This Is The Girl’ feel like they’ve been strained through a 1986 copy of the NME. Elsewhere there is much jangled up and chiming guitars to enjoy, loads of arresting lyrical imagery, and the kind of sweet and salty melodies that are instantly cherishable. RM
