This is a really beautiful album. With a sound reminiscent of Mumford & Sons, Land of Trees combine a fresh indie sound with the traditions of folk. The poetic storytelling of his lyrics is complimented wonderfully by his earthy vocals that brim with the emotion of his songs. The gentle instrumentation of piano and acoustic guitar create a softness and warmth that allows the listener to focus on the pictures painted by the lyrics. It’s an incredibly relaxing listen, without omitting powerful songwriting and a distinct sound. Land of Trees just gained a new fan. LT
