A very welcome reissue for Marianne Faithful’s very excellent 2002 album on which she collaborated with a whole bunch of artists such as Beck, Blur, Jarvis Cocker, Dave Stewart, Billy Corgan and more. It could have been a sprawling mess, given the amount of co-writers involved, but it coalesces into a pleasingly spiky whole while pushing envelopes, both lyrically and sonically. It’s now on heavy-weight vinyl and CD with extra tracks. RM
