This is a gorgeous curio. Cosmic Crooner is an Amsterdam lounge lizard who sings like he’s from the US. And his debut album draws on gently fried psychedelia that sits somewhere between Scott Walker, Lee Hazlewood, Frank Sinatra, Lou Reed and Richard Hawley. There’s also a twang of 60/70s European film scores swirling around the whole enterprise, which only adds another layer of cool. I’m in! RM
