Acrobotik is a slightly shadowy figure, who works in the realms of electronica and techno, and all we know about this release is that the title is so called because “me fatha looked a bit like Ken Dodd.” No matter – it’s a truly fantastic listen, particularly if you like electronica that is infused with plenty of warmth and soul. It’s endlessly inventive, starry-eyed on occasion, and truly cinematic in scope. You can’t ask for much more than that, can you? DP
