The second album from this New York native is a release to cherish – particularly if you like your alt-rock to be a little bit frazzled around the edges. She’s dunked these swaggering songs in a big vat of psych and pulled in all manner of other influences including blues, rock and roll, and pop. Add in the odd bit of surf guitar, plenty of sonic derring do, and her vocals – which are the kind that utterly demand your attention – and you’re onto something really special. DP
