Jo Bartlett – who was part of the C86 scene and ran the Buzz Club in Aldershot – has an excellent blog, Indie Through The Looking Glass, in which she write about, well, all things indie. This album features old interviews/band rehearsals with the likes of Shaun Ryder and Bobby Gillespie etc that have been enhanced with drum machines, synths, guitars and vocals to create something entirely new. It sounds like it’d be a mess, but it’s really super with plenty of wonky melodies pushed to the fore. DP
