This is the third album from this New Zealand quartet, with Elizabeth Stokes once again mining her own life for tales which are autobiographical but also a basis for character sketches touching on family, love and friendship. Musically, the band are still penning supremely tuneful indie-rock that is fuelled by plenty of nicely judged pop hooks, and I’m totally on board with that. DP
