Featuring Brian Wahlstrom (Gods of Mount Olympus) and Zach Quinn (PEARS) this San Diego outfit have caught the ear of many a taste-maker with their ‘yacht punk’ sound – which is basically up-and-at-‘em alt-rock given a seventies and eighties gloss. It worked on their earlier releases and it works here as they combine stadium-like choruses with soaring melodies, and synths with punky guitar work and witty lyrics. Rumbustious stuff. GM
