Vero are three Stockholm women in their early 20s who make punchy art-rock that tackles friendship, sex, desire and trying to figure out who they are. It’s suitably raw but stuffed with memorable hooks that grab you right from the first track. Touchstones include the likes of Garbage, Elastica, Sonic Youth and Pixies, which all adds up to a nicely enticing debut release. JL
