Duncan Lloyd is one of the founder members of local art-rockers Maximo Park and a superb songwriter in his own right as evinced by this 31 track double album, which features songs both old and new. He has a fine knack of making the intimate sound cinematic, and he knows how to pen the kind of melodies that arrow straight to your heart. From achingly beautiful lo-fi home recordings, to full band blow-outs, this is stirring stuff. Bravo. JL
