I was particularly excited about this release after hearing the Durham-based band’s single, ‘Cassini’. Laura Kovic’s dreamy vocals, paired with Daniel Ellis’ lively guitar solos, Greg Ullyart’s punky basslines and Nathan Stephens Griffin’s thunderous drum beats combine to create one addictive tune after another. Fans of Pixies and Weezer will love this one. “The Right Thing Pt 1” is by far my favourite song on the LP; it carries an intensity and urgency that I’d like to see more of in the band’s music. LT
