Idles - Crawler

It’s impossible for me to choose a favourite track from this album, because they all do something different. Not in a dissonant, disjointed way, but instead embodying a kaleidoscope of emotions, of experiences and even of musical genres, reflecting the fluid humanity that IDLES’ music captures so well. Some may misinterpret this album’s venture into softer, more melodic territories as the band becoming too comfortable with their drift into more mainstream crowds, but they unashamedly flaunt their punk roots throughout, proving this is not the case.
