Nice Knits

Claudia Winkleman has put fair isle knitwear back on the map after another successful stint on The Traitors, and Scottish label Eribé is marking a milestone of its own for A/W26.

Celebrating 40 years since it was founded in Rosemary Eribé’s living room, the one-woman operation has grown to be a brand known for its brightly coloured knits and heritage techniques. From cardigans and pullovers to sleeveless knitted vests, it’s all handmade in the Scottish borders using 100% natural wool which is renewable, biodegradable and durable to leave as little lasting impact as possible. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Eribé has also launched an archival-inspired design – the Vaila Lace – which takes its cues from hand-knitted Shetland lace shawls, following the yoke pattern that makes their knitwear so immediately distinguishable. Made from lightweight merino wool, it’s as soft and cosy as it is timeless – just what we need this winter. FR
