Paris Paloma - The Fatal Flaw
Up and coming British singer-songwriter Paris Paloma has become something of a feminist icon, thanks to her song ‘Labour’ which is pretty much the soundtrack of the movement on social media. In ‘The Fatal Flaw’, she zooms in on herself, writing a series of introspective and intimate songs on relationships in their many forms - romantic, platonic, with the self, and between art and the artist. Her lyricism is poetic, emotionally charged and steeped in beautifully complex imagery - themes of art, history and myth pervade many of the tracks. Sweeping strings, folky acoustic guitar melodies and electronic ambience breathe life into a sonic narrative that is somehow both otherworldly and grounded. LT
