Tees Folk 2026 has four of the finest folk acts you’ll find anywhere on the planet for your delecation, and it’s all happening at Stockton Globe this September.

The Unthanks are folk royalty, and, indeed, one of the most beloved of all north-east acts, and for their headline set at Tees Folk, sisters Rachel and Becky Unthanks (pictured) will be performing with their full 10-piece band (the last time they will do so this year). The Mercury Prize nominees always create a rich and immersive live experience as they weave their carefully curated mix of traditional and contemporary sounds. Another local favourite is Teesside’s own Amelia Coburn. Her ‘Between The Moon and The Milkman’ album was one of 2025’s finest and it was greeted with a raft of glittering reviews. Marrying incredible melodies to humour, honesty, and bags of north-eastern character is a feat she carries off with real aplomb. John Smith has spent two decades at the forefront of British folk music, and his deeply romantic songwriting and innovative guitar playing has won him an army of fans. The bill is complete by Dale Husband, better known as Glad Town Ghost. This East Cleveland fella combines vivid storytelling with a distinctive sound rooted in post-industrial landscapes.
