Fancy a drop of the dark stuff? The debut album from this Newcastle duo features the kind of cellar-deep rock that couldn’t be any more gothic if they stuck a whole bunch of flying buttresses on it. Darkwave? I think they’ve already mastered it. Add in some post-punky stylings and the kind of widescreen ambition that has me reaching for my nearest comfort shroud, and you’ve got an album that thrills on every level. DP
