Attention Kate Bush fans! The rather brilliant Let Me In are returning to Newcastle Cathedral this August to pay homage to one of the UK’s finest singer-songwriters.

Oh, man! Are you prepared for this? An evening of pure gothic melodrama and sublime art-pop, and all of it happening in the historic nave of Newcastle Cathedral—all courtesy of touring theatre company Let Me In.  Following their critically acclaimed, sell-out cathedral tours paying tribute to Radiohead and Pink Floyd, this talented collective really are the bees knees and back with their most ambitious production yet. For one night only, a spectacular ten-piece band—fronted by the phenomenal Lydia Gardiner—will unite with the renowned Mike Nowland String Quartet to deliver a deep, orchestral exploration of Bush’s legendary discography. The concert is designed as a rich chronological journey. Audiences will travel from the theatrical, high-register magic of her 1978 debut ‘The Kick Inside’, through the synth-laden masterpieces of ‘Never For Ever’ and ‘Hounds of Love’, all the way to the maternal, textured warmth of her 2005 comeback, ‘Aerial’. Expect faithful, spine-tingling renditions of the monumental classics—including ‘Wuthering Heights’, ‘Babooshka’ and ‘Running Up That Hill’—alongside deeply curated rarities. Gonna be good! DP
