Featuring lead singer Dave Smith (who fronts local blues rock band The Panic Buyers) and guitarist Tony Schofield (who has played with country rock band The Katy Freeway), The Burnin’ Sensations play sizzling bluesy-rock that is thrumming with good vibes to go. Their latest album is thumpingly good—with a harmonica getting a good workout alongside all the riffs. They can slow it down (such as on the excellent ‘I’m As Happy As A Sad Man Can Be’) or work up a real lather (the title track), but everything they tackle rings authentically true. GM
