Make tracks to Darlo
Spread extravagantly over three venues—Darlington Hippodrome, The Hullabaloo, and The Forum Music Centre—this year’s Last Train Home Festival is resplendent with its best line-up to date. I’m talking the likes of Scotland’s Lucia & The Best Boys (pictured) who will be bringing us their raucous indie-rock. And Crack faves Benefits will also be hitting us up with their art-noise racket and the kind of social commentary that is so lacking from many of their peers. A word too for the Midlands based soulful indie outfit Chartreuse, who will be bringing their rich and well-crafted tunes to Darlington for the very first time. Elsewhere, many of the region’s finest will also be on hand including the likes of Eve Simpson, Labyrinthine Oceans, Callum Pitt, Leazes and many more besides. And, as mentioned above, the festival also has plenty of stand-up to enjoy and this comes courtesy of a Hilarity Bites’ comedy all-dayer. In attendance here will be Silky, Rob Mulholland, Maxine Wade, Anna Thomas, Gavin Webster, The Halls Of The Ridiculous, and multi-award-winning comedian Ray Bradshaw.
