This Australian-born, but now Berlin-based, duo has acknowledged their debt to 60s psychedelia and 90s grunge, which certainly came over in their initial EPs. Their debut album is still thrumming with starry-eyed melodies, but here they’re beautifully stripped-back without feeling under-produced. And there’s plenty of shade to go with the sunny vibes as they explore the slings and arrows of modern life, taking in broken-down relationships, digital burnout, and self-doubt. It’s an intoxicating combo and I’m fully on board. DP
