Based in North Shields, this lad knocks out indie-rock that has a distinct twang to it; a kind of ramshackle charm that is part bedroom wig-out and part lo-fi goodness, which has been dunked in a big bucket of Sweet. He knows how to pen a lovely melody too, and that all helps pull listeners into his world in which, lyrically, our hero wearily traverses the digital landscape with a gimlet eye. Everything from microplastics to the Criterion Closet fall under his gaze, and the release is also given extra body by the collaborators he has worked with which includes the likes of Nev Clay, Sam and Eimear Covill, fiddle player Niles Krieger (who has worked with Sam Fender) and awesome singer Bridie Jackson.
