Rosa Walton? Isn’t she one half of brilliant duo Let’s Eat Grandma? Yes, indeed! And her first solo album sees her zigging away from the synth-popisms of Let’s Eat Grandma towards a more organic, guitar-driven sound. It’s a move that has infused her new stuff with a real sense of warmth and kinetic energy that sits somewhere between 80s alternative and sophisti-pop, and the hook-laden tunes of Tegan and Sara. It’s also a release in which those positive vibes just keep coming, and you can’t help but be lifted by it. It’s great to have her back. DP
