Diana Darby - Otterson
Texas-born artist Diana Darby returns with her first album in twelve-years, and it features 13 tracks that she penned while emerging from a period of deep isolation and personal transition. The arrangements are spare, often featuring close-mic’ed, whispery vocals, as well as electric guitar, and occasional haunting organ sounds. Lyrically, she’s tackling themes of loss – whether of relationships, faith, or the self – and also the frightening liberty of starting over. In short: it’s a release that has been well worth the wait. GM
