There’s plenty going on in Sunderland, Gateshead and South Tyneside this June, including a Pride Concert Fundraiser in Monkwearmouth.

Pride has certainly hit the south side of the Tyne this month, with LGBTQ+ friendly events going on absolutely everywhere, including cinema screenings, art workshops, historical talks, and so much more. But this Pride Concert Fundraiser concert in Monkwearmouth is where the party is at! An absolutely stellar line-up is set to go through their paces and these include drag stars Lucy Phurr and Sally Trademark. Also on the bill you’ll find DJ sets from north-east favourites Michael Maddison and JNR, Blu James (pictured - who has warbled for the likes of Basement Jaxx), and hottie Mr. Gay GB Ben Lloyd. The whole event is free, as are most of OUT North East’s Pride events, but donations are more than welcome to help out the community and assist in the future of Pride in the region. MW
