Arlo Parks - Ambiguous Desire
Arlo Parks is on the dancefloor for her third album, and I’m a huge fan of this new direction of her sound. Her soft vocals and introspective lyrics pair beautifully with the hazy, euphoric production that has flavours of house, techno and garage. She wrote the album during a period spent immersed in New York’s nightlife, and the album perfectly encapsulates a glimmering, nocturnal atmosphere of club-hopping in the city. Her thoughtful, poetic lyrics add depth to this vibrant sound, which makes the album feel like a heart-to-heart with a close friend in the club. A meditative approach to partying. LT
