This Hawaii-born singer/songwriter has carved out a real niche for herself with her stuff taking in everything from acoustic folk Americana to electronic indie, and her new release is something of a lost album. It received a limited vinyl release just when Covid hit, but now she’s revisited it, which is good news for us because it’s a gorgeous release in which she harnesses strings, piano, fingerpicked guitar and synths for a deft suite of celestial songs that speak directly to listeners about the world around us.
