This is the solo project of Nick Hinman, the American-born and London-based musician and producer, but he’s collaborated with a whole bunch of top musicians such as John Waugh and George Daniel (The 1975) to produce a debut album that has a nicely frazzled round the edges indie-pop and post-punk feel. There are some big tunes here and the whole album is imbued with such a drive that you can’t help but be pulled along in the slipstream. GM
