Now you see him…

Our Star Theatre Company’s take on ‘The Invisible Man’ is enormous fun and it can be seen at the Middlesbrough Theatre this May (or can it…).

HG Wells’ ‘The Invisible Man’ is a fantastic read and it’s been adapted many times for both big and small screens. For technical reasons, it hasn’t been performed too many times on stage, but Our Star Theatre Company has really pulled rabbits out of hats for their take on the classic tale (it achieved a critically acclaimed sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe). It sees 15 characters played by just three energetic actors (shades of the much praised ‘The 39 Steps’) in an original, fast-paced and riotous adaptation that pushes quick and silly costume changes, prop manipulation, whacky imagination and tons of tongue-in-cheek fun very much to the fore.
