Eliza Noxon - Good Monsters with Bad Habits
Eliza Noxon’s first release
since 2017 follows her
journey through early
adulthood with some
of the most raw and
heartfelt songwriting I’ve
come across recently. Her
blend of folk and indie is at times expansive,
with cathartic choruses
that you just want to sing along to, but is
elsewhere so incredibly
intimate that you just
have to stop everything
you’re doing and cling to every word, every
strum of her acoustic
guitar. She speaks of her brother’s death in a
deeply personal language
that encapsulates how,
despite grief being a shared experience amongst us all, the way
each of us feel that loss is
highly specific. Beautiful
yet heartwrenching. LT
