That’ll never pass it’s MOT

Half a car? Yep, and it’s just one of the things you can see at ‘Steam to Green: A North East Energy Revolution’, which you can see at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle.

This well-regarded exhibition has certainly been pulling in the punters and with good reason as it’s a real knockout. The wide-reaching show explores the story of energy in the north-east, a subject in which the region has played such an important role. It looks back at the industrial revolution, but also forward to the pioneering contributions to the green technologies happening now right across the north-east. It features exciting new hands-on displays demonstrating wind and solar power and even a ‘cutaway’ electric NISSA Leaf car (pictured).
