The debut release from Gateshead’s Stuart Edwards (aka Your Autopilot) is a sumptuous slice of electronica. It’s the soundtrack to an imaginary film about a washed-up musician who takes a job creating samples for an AI program designed to make perfect songs. It’s free of lyrics but piano, beats and synths combine perfectly to take listeners on a real wide-screen journey, the kind of which that Vangelis have been so adept at, as those sweeping orchestral treats keep coming.
