The second album from this Sunderland-based singer/songwriter is the kind of confident modern pop album that’ll have you standing on a chair and applauding. I liked her debut album ‘Square One’ but ‘Secrets’ is even better, exploring darker, deeper waters without losing any of her undoubted melodic talents. From the ultra-catchy bop ‘Crank It Up’ to the BDSM slink-fest ‘Bite You Hard’ to the strummy body-positivity anthem ‘Rubenesque’, this is an expansive release containing multitudes. DP
