Morse play!

‘Inspector Morse: House of Ghosts’ marks the first-ever stage adaptation of the iconic detective, and you can see it at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle in early February.

The code I live by is this: you just can’t have enough Inspector Morse in your life. I call it my Morse Code. And I was cock-a-hoop when I found out that my favourite ever TV detective was about to tread the boards (and my cock was further hooped when I learned that said stage show was visiting Newcastle). Apparently, the story is a real goodie. The gist? What begins as a suspicious death inquiry takes a darker turn when the legendary inspector, together with DS Lewis (hooray!), uncovers a connection to sinister events in his own past, twenty-five year earlier. Ooh…!

Inspector Morse: House of Ghosts, 3-7 February, Theatre Royal, Newcastle, 7.30pm (mats Thurs 2pm and Sat 2.30pm), from £19, theatreroyal.co.uk
