All back to Anne’s
Anne Cohen’s paintings are absolutely teeming with life. Her portraits are big and bold and absolutely popping with colour. She also has whole menageries of animals that combine an expressive touch with an almost surreal sensibility. Her landscapes are full of interest right to each corner of the canvas. And her abstracts are fizzing with exquisite mark-making. But above all, each of her pieces is undoubtedly her. She lived in Turkey for many years – where a lot of these paintings were done – but she returned to Newcastle six months ago and is eager to show her work. Our advice: banish your January blues by paying Anne a visit.
