Can you guess what the panto at The People’s Theatre in Newcastle is this year…?

I never fail to watch the film of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ each Christmas on TV and now I can actually go and see these beloved characters, live in the flesh as it were. The People’s Theatre always give us a brilliant panto and this year’s offering promises to be a real goodie. The gist (if you need reminding): When a terrible twister whirls Dorothy and her little dog Toto far away to the magical land of Oz, Glinda The Good sends them off down the yellow brick road to find The Wizard. With the help of a Scarecrow, a Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion, will Dorothy have the brains, heart and courage to save Oz and find her way home?
