Hailing from Sunderland and Newcastle, Cazimi are a three-piece who knock out a very feisty and taut post-punk sound that is whip smart and toting the kind of memorable melodies that instantly lodge in your brain. They can rumble like The Stranglers (‘Higher’) or play tunes that have a chiming, ringing-dinging quality like Echo and The Bunnymen (‘Every Story (3 Sides)’), but they’re very much their own thing, their roving, aural assault, flitting between styles with plenty of dash.
