Melody’s Echo Chamber is the music project of French musician and singer Melody Prochet and her fourth studio album is resplendent with life-affirming vibes and the kind of fluffy kitten-heeled melodies that will lift even the most jaded of hearts. It sounds a tad like Saint Etienne at their most playful, and Prochet’s voice certainly has more than a hint of Sarah Cracknell about it – no bad thing in my book. If the short days are getting you down, then this album’s a real life-saver. DP
