It’s beginning to look a lot like…
The run-up to Christmas is stressful, right? Wrong! Certainly wrong if you glance at the forthcoming programme for Newcastle Cathedral who this December are giving us shows that are pure balm for the soul. I particularly like the look of Rock Choir Christmas (pictured – 4 December). This will see the North East Rock Choir hitting us up with an uplifting mix of feel-good pop, rock and classic Christmas hits. And I never miss the cathedral’s Candlelit Carols (17 & 22 December). From ancient words of expectation to lullabies of peace, from joyful dances and timeless carols to striking contemporary works, the Newcastle Cathedral Choir will be lifting our hearts to the rafters. St. Nicholas: The Original Santa Claus is a guided journey through time that uncovers the fascinating history, traditions, and legends surrounding Newcastle Cathedral’s patron saint (30 November, 7, 14 & 21 December). Sculptures and stained-glass windows bring to life the remarkable story of this 4th century bishop. Also in December look out for Swing Into Christmas, Christmas by Candlelight, The Mediaeval Baebes, Bublé Christmas by Candlelight, and much more.
