Brindle’s Manse - Remember!
The debut album from this north-east four-piece is bountiful with treats as they set about indie-pop and alt-rock with plenty of vim and vigour. From ‘No Wires’, which is thrumming with noughties melodic intent, to the twangy ‘Southern Cross’, to the lead track (also called ‘Brindle’s Manse’), which has a decidedly B-52’s like charm, they’re an outfit that has a deliciously playful side, and that really comes across on the eleven tracks here.
